Waka Toa is formed out of a love for the beauty and diversity of Maori culture and a desire to present a message with meaning.
1999
Waka Toa completes a 28 day international tour playing 44 shows in Kuala Lumpur, Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
2002
Waka Toa is invited to return to Kuala Lumpur, performing at universities, the cities largest shopping centres and the New Zealand Embassy.
2004
Waka Toa performs in Fiji for Ministerial leaders, international delegates, schools and the Manu Samoa rugby team.
Today
Waka Toa continues to entertain and educate and have fun with audiences crossing cultural barriers and engendering a feeling of community warmth, a positive regard for Maori culture and its inheritors.
